Program related to AS120 during the semesters....

Diploma in science club is called PERDIPSA (persatuan diploma sains). When I was in part 1 (semester 1) I having a KESAS camp (kem sains) that handle by my senior (part6). KESAS camp that held in 2 days. Gives us spaces to communicate and having a close relationship with senior and among the students of sciences. Other than that, thought us knowledges about reality in campus, how to handle situation and other than that. Every semester, PERDIPSA CLUB held dinner and AGM (Anual Grand Meetings). That council can strengthen the relationship and can add new friends. AGM is purposed to choose new presidents and  committee members in the club. 

   In semester 2, every students should cooperate to handle event (sport sciences days). This event held in one days only. This event provided sports activities such as futsal ,volleyball ,sepak takraw , netball and other sports. 

In semester 3, we have a trip to Taman Negara,Pahang. This trip under biology subjects invoved all the students of diploma science. We learn everthing about the culture of Orang Asli, and have many sweet memory and experiences .We also need to handle dinner (Theme:Galaxy The Final Frontier) . All of us collaborated prepare dinner in one weeks. Finally, it successful and we are satisfied with the results.

In semester4 and 5, not much activities. We just attend and participate in activites (sport sciences days and dinner)organized by our junior to support them.

    In semester 6, having a last semester with handling KESAS Camp. Thought junior and share some experiences during further studies in diploma of applied science. We as senior gives some opinion ,advise to junior and also help them if needed.

    The subjects that you need to know, while taking diploma in science during the 6 semesters are:

The first semester, students must takes BEL120 CONSOLIDATING LANGUAGE SKILLS (elective),CTU101 FUNDAMENTALS OF ISLAM(elective), HBU111 NATIONAL KESASTRIA 1 (ANY CO-CURICULUM)(elective), BIO121 INTRODUCTION TO CELL BIOLOGY, CHM160 PRINCIPLES OF GENERAL CHEMISTRY, MAT133 PRECALCULUS, and PHY110 MECHANICS 1.

The second semester, students must takes BEL260 INTERMEDIATE ENGLISH, BIO250 METABOLISM AND CELL DIVISION, CHM256 BASIC ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY, CTU151 ISLAMIC THOUGHT AND CIVILIZATION(elective), HBU121 NATIONAL KESASTRIA 2 (CO-CURICULUM)(elective), MAT183 CALCULUS 1 and PHY210 MECHANICS 2 AND THERMAL PHYSICS.

The third semester, students must takes BEL311 ENGLISH FOR ACADEMIC PURPOSES, BIO200 INTRODUCTION TO TISSUES,CLASSIFICATION OF LIVING THING AND ECOLOGY,CHM270 PHYSICAL CHEMISTRY, CTU 211 SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN ISLAM(elective), HBU131 NATIONAL KESASTRIA 3(elective),MAT238 FOUNDATION OF APPLIED MATHEMATICS and PHY150 ELECTRICITY AND MAGNETISM.

 The fourth semester,the student must takes BIO250 SYSTEMS AND MAINTANANCE (PLANT AND ANIMALS), CHM257 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY 1, CSC134 COMPUTER AND INFORMATION PROCESSING, PHY250 GEOMETRICAL OPTICALS and QMT245 STATISTICS FOR TECHNOLOGY 1.

   The fifth semester,students must takes BIO300 BIOLOGICAL TECHNIQUES AND SKILLS, CHM301 ORGANIC CHEMISTRY 2(elective), ENT300 FUNDAMENTALS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP, PHY310 MODERN PHYSICS (elective) and PHY351 MATERIALS SCIENCE (elective).

The sixth semester,students must takes BIO320 introduction to biological diversity, CHM260 basic instrumental analysis CHM361 inorganic chemistry (elective) andPHY360 physics laboratory(instrumentation and application).

A little story about diploma in sciences

 Before i get the course of diploma sciences (AS120) in UITM. I have apply this course in UPU and thankful to ALLAH that  give me a apportunity to further my studies in diploma. My SPM result not too good but just okay. But my sciences subject is credit so i am qualified to get this course. So I will give more details about my course in UITM. Before you apply this course you must know the qualified to apply it in UPU portal. Firstly, Students must the buy the upu pin number in BSN (Bank Simpanan Rakyat). After that, just applying the course using online portal (UPU).  I want to share an information for the students who already done and waiting for their spm result.  

SPM with five (5) credits including:

• Bahasa Melayu
• Mathemathics/Additional Mathemathics
• Physics/Biology
• Chemistry (minimum C)
• ONE other subject

AND                                     

• a pass in English

OR

• pass Pre-Diploma in Science programme (UiTM)

Pre-diploma in Science (PD008), focusing on a basic sciences and mathematics. The mininum duration of this programme is one semesters depending on the student’s performances. The courses offered are biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics and english. To further or continue diploma in science  (Applied Sciences) the students must atleast get above a 2.0 pointer. But the students that have scored above a 3.0 pointer  in semester one pre-diploma science they have given opportunity to be acceptance in the first intake students.Those to student that donot achieved or get that result they give second chance continue and their studies in semester 2.

I want to share with you about my course in UITM. Let me introduce  my course is diploma in sciences (known as applied sciences in programme code AS120). It is programme focussing in a basic sciences and mathematics. The three year programme of six (6) semesters offers courses such as Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Mathematics. Other courses include Computers and Information Processing, English, Islamic Studies, and Fundamental of Business. Syllabuses and modules are from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). Graduation transcripts is acknowledged by Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM). Fees and education financial aid by Perbadanan Tabung Pengajian Tinggi Nasiaonal (PTPTN) .Job opportunity Graduates may be employed in various polymer related industries and may hold positions as laboratory technicians, quality control productions personnel and factory managers.Other career opportunities for those who are interested in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics including Engineering programmes (Civil, Electronic, Electrical, Chemical, and Mechanical), Industrial Chemistry, and Computer Science. Other career options include teaching, which requires graduates to undergo a course for a Diploma in Education, Administrative or Management Executives or Research Assistants. Opportunity for further study is graduates with Diploma in Science may further their education in Biology and Chemistry including Medicine, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, Agronomy, Forestry, Nuclear Science, Biotechnology, Environmental Studies, Fisheries, and Food Technology, or in the Natural Science of Biology, Zoology, Botany, Genetics, and Ecology. Graduates may further their studies in science of technology based programme at UiTM, other local or foreign universities. Graduates may be given some exemptions for their degree programme depending on the course, university and CGPA at the Diploma level.

About my blog . I create my blog for the first time in life during  my  class computers and information processing (csc134 lab session). My blog is fidawinkwink.blogspot.com .I am thankful to my lecturer Miss Raja Fitriyah that is taught me how to create and used this blog . I am used this blog to get and share informations with my  friends . love u miss fitriyah!!!!  I will use this knowledge to the right ways and never use this blog for imappropriate things.

My name is Rafidah Binti Abdullah Hassan. I am 20 years old. I am 7^th daughter from 8 siblings. I live at Jerantut. My favourite foods is nasi ayam and apple juices. My primary school at Sekolah Rendah Kebangsaan Temin. My Secondary School at Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Temin. I have four best friends forever (ecah,fatin,Diana,tasya) still contact until now .After get SPM result I get opportunity to continue my diploma at UITM JENGKA. I am grateful to continue my studies in UITM JENGKA because it not  too far from my house. In UITM I have another four friends which always support me in hard or easy conditions which is (nadiana, roszaida, wani and syahirah). Thanks a lot for making my life colorful and I will trying hard to appreciates all of you that always support me. I love my family. I hope can make my parent proud of myself
